2012 Summer Olympic Games
London and all of England is gearing up for the Olympics and the Queen’s Jubilee.
London is calling. And she’s sending Wenlock™ and Mendeville™ after you if you don’t answer.
Actually, they want you to visit this summer because the 2012 Summer Olympic Games, officially known as the Games of the XXX Olympiad, are scheduled to take place in London, United Kingdom, from 27 July to 12 August 2012.
London will become the first city to officially host the modern Olympic Games three times, having previously done so in 1908 and in 1948.
There’s archery, boxing, BMX cycling, diving, swimming, tennis and one of the most watched sport- gymnastics. But that’s not all. The games will feature 26 sports, which break down into 39 disciplines. Talk about round the clock TV watching. Thank goodness for DVRs and TIVO or I would be one stinky, sleep-deprived, potato chip eating girl.
Check it out at http://www.london2012.com/ and see how the progress is coming along. The countdown has begun and I’m sure the Guinness is pouring well into the wee hours of the night.
As for Wenlock™ and Mendeville™, they are the lovable London 2012 mascots of the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Perhaps they should meet up with Cruisidude and Pablo Cruz? Let me hear what you think!
